Amsterdam-based art collective consisting of 12 makers.

KCDAM is an emerging art collective rooted in the desire to create space for dialogue, experimentation, and for makers who often find themselves working in isolation. Initiated by artist
Bodine Ester Abramov, the collective grew out of the need to navigate artistic and institutional questions together, rather than alone. It brings together all sorts of makers who are committed to developing their practice through curiosity and mutual support.

The collective operates from the belief that artistic growth is not only individual but collective. KCDAM functions as a shared platform where knowledge, opportunities, and experiences circulate freely. It welcomes artists who take their practice seriously and are willing to engage with their community. It’s a must that every artist equally sends out what they wish to receive. There is no fixed aesthetic or imposed thematic framework; instead, the collective values autonomy, artistic freedom, and the coexistence of personal and commercial approaches.
Still in an early and evolving phase, the collective develops organically through conversations, shared initiatives, and projects that emphasise continuity and connection. Both digital and physical meeting spaces play an important role, enabling artists to share work, exchange feedback, and support one another.

Projects initiated by the collective focus on process as much as presentation, fostering long-term relationships between their peers as well as their buyers. At the same time, KCDAM actively works toward public visibility through exhibitions, unique marketing campaigns and initiatives like “ PROJECT 1# travelling sketchbook”, where more than 20 artist leave their mark in a Moleskine black book. The collective seeks to create sustainable conditions in which contemporary artistic practices can grow, both socially and economically.
