Alberto De Flavis (1990, Italy) started to be in touch with the Art world at a young age and has been cultivating a love for Oil painting since moving to Amsterdam.
In 2017, he was introduced to the world of Oil painting, making a deeper connection with this magic medium. Mostly working on still life, contemporary realism, and fascinated by the old masters. A self-taught painter with the intent to give a vision and self-interpretation of how an everyday, simple subject can be made so beautiful, such as the way light can gently hit an object and emphasize what the viewer sees most magnificently. Through the Oil painting craft, he is able to express his truest thoughts. Each decision and every brush stroke conveying his knowledge and emotion of that time, using a timeless medium to crystallize what only he can see.
