Ernesto Visser (1988, Angra dos Reis, Brazil) is a Brazilian-Dutch visual artist, tattooer, and experimental musician based in the Netherlands. Graduated at the Fine Art School of the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro as a printmaker, his work merges classical engraving, comic aesthetics, and pop culture.
A chance encounter with traditional tattooing in 2013 led him to embrace the medium as a natural extension of printmaking. Alongside his visual practice, Ernesto creates music under Ernesto Carlos Music, a self-recorded project blending Brazilian influences, Portuguese lyrics, electronics, and indie rock, which he defines as tropical power pop.
