Kenny Noorlander (1990) is a printmaker living in Amsterdam. Hugely inspired by the temporary nature of life and the inescapable fact that one day, we will all be forgotten.
“I don’t care what you feel about my work. As long as you feel something; I’m happy. Because then you’ll remember just a little bit longer.”
That is why the definitive nature of cutting an image into lino makes printmaking the perfect medium. Once you cut something away, you can’t put it back. Once printed, that’s what it is. Only making a few copies of each work and then destroying the lino itself; there are no re-prints.
